like you haven't heard this before. the woodward faced dallas still looking for their first win of the season. coach randy whitman hoping his guys can find their stroke after the team hit just 29 on the field against the lowly charlotte bob cats on tuesday. tease fell in a huge hole in part because of mayo's 25 points. at one point, the wizards were down by 22 points. amazingly, they made a comeback to make it interesting pulling to within three, three times in the games final minutes. martins with a perfect four for four from three-point range. the team hit 13 of 27 from beyond the arc. this one would go down to the wire but in the end, it was dallas with 22 seconds left that got the lead. the mavs go on to win 107-101. the wizards drop to 0-7 for the season. hopefully, they can beat utah on saturday. aturday. >>> now, to some redskins news. deangelo hall's spat with the officials in the steeler game reportedly cost the quarterback $30,000. pierre garson was limited in practice because of his injured toe but coach shanahan like his. prompt and isn't ruling out a return this wee

evening in midland, some 300 miles west of dallas-ft. worth. investigators say a freight train slammed into this flatbed carrying the vets and their families to a banquet. four servicemen died and more than a dozen other people got hurt. one of victims, army sergeant michael, his mother-in-law says the purple heart winner pushed his wife out of the way possibly saving her life. other witnesses say they saw folks panic and jump from the parade float. casey is live with more at the scene in midland, texas. this was one of two floats in the parade, right? >>casey: i will explain that in a second. but, first, right back there behind me the train in the last minute or so just started moving, the first time we have seen that since this accident. obviously they have to clear the railway at some point but investigators point out they are in the infancy of the investigation. there were two floats totaled. one has successfully made it across the intersection and cleared it. as the second was going through that is when the accident happened. this was part of the 9th annual parade, "show of suppor

, tennessee, if you're in dallas, texas or pittsburgh, pa, life may be feeling less desperate. there's evidence of job growth and expansion there. but i should point out the survey that looked for any signs of recovery has just identified those three cities as the only ones in the entire country which are experiencing a measurable comeback from the so-called great depression. so knoxville, dallas and pittsburgh are in a very small club. looking deeply at the numbers, we see knoxville informed in infrastructure -- invested in infrastructure, often spending money from the government through its federal stimulus program. and dallas was not hit as hard as many cities in the housing industry plunge. and then there's this coming to light today, the mayor of detroit now admitting his city has reached a breaking point, bankruptcy on a the table, we're told, but the mayor hoping to avoid that by furloughing some of the 11,000 city workers, and that will begin in january. quickly, though, back to the good news. three of our 76 recognized major metro areas are feeling some relief. doesn't sound

different than the average person. so let's deal with the top three. let's start with dallas. dallas we know is a growing city. what makes it attractive for the military? >> all three of these top cities are not really military cities, per se. so that's what surprised us. dallas particularly, it's a tech send trick city, very clean, low crime rate, high population, but the thing that works there is it's also got high employee employ ability. so there's a is a great choice. >> brian: phoenix, a lot of people are buying homes. something that seems to be affordable and that is also a growing city. >> yes. it's very affordable. both mortgages are cheaper and rent is lower than national average. also a lot of educational opportunities. as i said in the outset, we looked at education heavily in this survey. >> brian: they also have a lot of contracting jobs and a lot of the men and women seem to like that and high number of government jobs. the last one and this is surprise to go a degree, pittsburgh. pittsburgh we know is starting to become a booming city as they get away from steel a little bit.
